I would like to wish all of the Mothers a Happy Mother’s Day
When I saw the Stippled Roses Stamp Set I thought it would be the perfect to make this special card. It even has a “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment included.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Fold the Old Olive CS in half and crease it using a Bone Folder. The fold should be along the top.
- The Stippled Roses stamp is a little wider then the Clear Block “E”, so I applied it to the block on a diagonal. Here’s where the saved scraps of Basic White CS come in handy. You are going to use a scrap piece to test the colours that you want to use to colour the Roses and Leaves. See my sample of the colours I tested. Ink up the Stippled Roses stamp using the Jet Black Stazon Pad and stamp it onto the scrap piece of Basic White CS (2” x 6-1/2”). Re-ink the stamp and stamp it onto the Basic White (3-1/2” x 4-3/4”). I decided to go with Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends for the Leaves and the medium and large Roses are Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The smallest Rose and the Buds are Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
- Use the Stipples Roses outline die and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine OR Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out the Daffodil Delight CS. Secure the Stipples Roses outline die in place using the sticky part of Post-It-Notes.
- Use the Stipples Roses outline die and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine OR Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out the Daffodil Delight CS. Secure the Stipples Roses outline die in place using the sticky part of Post-It-Notes.
- Insert the Stamped Basic White CS into the hole in the Daffodil Delight CS. Flip them over and apply Stampin’ Seal + over the back. Make sure that you overlap where the two cardstocks meet. This will keep them in place as you adhere them to the Old Olive Card Front.
- Ink up the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment using the Old Olive ink. Stamp it onto the Basic White CS. Cut out the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment using the outline Heart from the Hooray for Surprises Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine OR Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Adhere it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This is the sample of test cardstock that I use to determine the colours that I am going to use in this project. I tried Light & Dark Soft Sea Foam, Light & Dark Mossy Meadow and Light & Dark Lemon Lolly, before I decided to use,Light & Dark Daffodil Delight & Dark Old Olive. This saves me time, ink and cardstock. This is a lot better then colouring an entire Stippled Roses and not liking how the colours go together. I hope this helps you.

This card shows a different way to use the Dies to insert an image on one cardstock into another colour cardstock. I hope that this inspires you to try it yourself.
