I have noticed that when I go for my walk in the morning that there is definitely a crisp in the air. You can tell that Fall is here. I know, I am sorry to say those words out loud. Some of the leaves are starting to change but some are still green. I was inspired to capture the Fall Leaves before they vanish.
We are going to use the Leaves as Stamps.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Cut a piece of Real Red Card Stock to measure 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Fold it in half and cease it with the Bone Folder. The crease will be along the top.
2) Cut a piece of Always Artichoke Card Stock to measure 4" x 5 1/4"
3) Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock to measure 3 3/4" x 5".
4) Ink up the Brayer using the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad (or the lightest color that you are going to use). Ink up the Vein side of the Leaf with the Brayer. Roll the Brayer back and forth, with a little bit of pressure to ensure that the Leaf is fully inked.Lay the Leaf with the Vein side down against the Very Vanilla Card Stock. Hold it in place so it doesn't move with one hand and rub over the entire Leaf surface with the other hand. This will transfer the ink from the Leaf to the Card Stock. Lift the Leaf straight up. Clean the Brayer as soon as possible before you use a different color ink and make sure that it is dry before you change the ink color.
5) Ink up the Brayer using the Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad (or the next darkest color that you are going to use). Repeat the above process using the Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad and a different Leaf.
6) Ink up the Brayer using the Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad (or the next darkest color that you are going to use). Repeat the above process using the Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad and a different Leaf.
7) Ink up the Brayer using t
he Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad (or the next darkest color that you are going to use). Repeat the above process using the Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad and a different Leaf.
8) Insert the Brush Tip of the Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker into the end of the Color Spritzer Tool. Adjust it so the tip is in front of the Color Spritzer Tool as shown on page 203 of the 2011 Idea Book & Catalogue. I suggest to test the Color Spritzer Tool on a piece of scrap paper before you use it on the stamped Very Vanilla Card Stock. The closer that you hold the Color Spritzer Tool to the Card Stock the darker and bigger the spatters are. I use the Color Spritzer Tool about 8" to 9" away.
9) Ink up the "Thank You" using the side of the Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker Brush Tip. Huff on the stamp to keep the ink moisten and the Stamp the "Thank You" onto the Very Vanilla Card Stock. Clean the stamp using Stampin' Mist and the Stampin' Scrub.
10) Cut a piece of 1/4" Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon to measure 11 1/2" and wrap it around the stamped Very Vanilla Card Stock and tie it in a knot.
11) Adhere the Always Artichoke Card Stock to the Real Red Card Base using SNAIL Adhesive.
12) Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla Card Stock to the Always Artichoke Card Stock using 5 Stampin' Dimensionals.
13) you can see how fun & easy it is to make this Card. This would be perfect Card to make with a child. You could go for a walk and gather the Leaves and then make a Card using them.
NOTE:
A) Always start with the lightest color first when you are inking up the Fall Leaves. That way if you don't thoroughly clean the Brayer, you won't see the lighter color ink on the next Classic Stampin' Pad (darker color). If you used the dark one first and you didn't get it cleaned, the darker ink would transfer to the lighter ink pad and you would be able to see it.
B) For best results use green Leaves that are in good condition.They will be moist and they won't absorb all of the ink before you stamp them onto the Card Stock.
C) When I got home, the leaves had curled from being in my pocket. I laid them down on the table and put a heavy book on them to flatten them out. This makes it easier to work with them.
D) If you want to use the same Leaf again, but with a different color ink, all you have to do is wipe the Leaf with a Kleenex to remove the ink. You should do it as soon as you Stamp the first Leaf, because the ink will eventually dry on the Leaf.
Tip for Cleaning Your Brayer
i) Before you begin your project, have your Stampin' Mist and an old towel handy. The darker color may stain the Brayer so you want to clean it as soon as you are finished stamping your Leaf onto the Card Stock.
ii) Once you are done Brayering the color onto the Leaf, roll the Brayer on a scrap piece of paper. This will remove a lot of the ink before you wash it and save you time.
iii) Clean the Brayer under a faucet using luke warm water. Rotate the Rubber Roller, so you rinse off all of the Classic Stampin' Ink.
iv) If all of the ink isn't coming off, then spray the Stampin' Mist directly onto the Rubber Roller and gently rub your finger against it to help remove the ink.
v) If you have to use it, thoroughly rinse the Stampin' Mist off of the Brayer's Rubber Roller.
vi) Make sure that the Brayer's Rubber Roller is dry before you ink it up.
