Happy Graduation Card
Our niece, Lauren recently graduated from High School. We can't beleive that 18 years have gone by so fast.
She has grown up to be a very kind and special young woman, so she deserved a very special card to mark the occasion.
She graduated from Citadel High in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As you can tell their color are Black, Burgandy & Gold.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) To make the Cap, take a scrap piece of Basic Black Card Stock and punch it out using the 1 1/4" Square Punch. Take a scrap piece of Bravo Burgandy Card Stock and punch it out using the 1 3/8" Square Punch. Cut a piece of Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon to measure 6". Fold the ribbon in half and tie a know towards one end. Using your Paper Snips cut into the ends of the ribbon and pull the pieces apart to form the tassel. Layer the tassel on top of the 2 pieces of punched out Card Stock. Punch a hole through all of the layers including the ribbon using the 1/16" Circle Hand Held Punch. Insert a Gold Brads through all of the layers.
2) Cut a piece of Basic Black Card Stock to measure 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Fold it in half and crease it using the Bone Folder. The fold should be along the left hand side.
3) Cut a piece of Bravo Burgundy Card Stock to measure 4 x 5 1/4". Adhere it to the Basic Black card front using SNAIL Adhesive.
4) Cut a piece of Pink Pirouette Card Stock to measure 3 3/4" x 5 ". Adhere it to the Bravo Burgandy layer using SNAIL Adhesive.
5) Cut a piece of Basic Black Card Stock to measure 3 5/8" x 4 7/8". Assemble the Big Shot "Sandwich" ~ first Standard Cutting Pad, Multipurpose Platform (Tab 1), Textured Impressions Perfect Polka Dots with the Basic Black Card Stock inside and the second Standard Cutting Pad. Run this "Sandwich" through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. Adhere it to the Pink Pirouette layer using SNAIL Adhesive.
6) To form the Blouse, cut a piece of Whiper White Card Stock to measure 3" x 3". Punch out one of the corners using the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. Lay the punched out 3" x 3" square onto a Paper Cutter and trim it, leaving 1/4" tab on the Scallop Trim. Fold it over and crease it with the Bone Folder.
7) Cut a piece of Pink Pirouette in a triangle with the shortest edge of 2". Ahdere the Whisper White Scallop Trim to it using SNAIL Adhesive.
8) Cut a strip of Basic Black Card Stock to measure 1/2" x 6".
9) Cut a strip of Bravo Burgandy Card Stock to measure 1/4" x 6". Adhere the Bravo Burgundy Strip to the Basic Black Strip using SNAIL Adhesive. Cut a piece about 2 3/4" and adhere it to Whisper White Scallop Trim. Cut another piece to measure 3" and adhere it on the other side of the Whisper White Scallop Trim using SNAIL Adhesive. Make sure that it overlaps the first strip that you adhered. Once these steps are completed, you trim the pieces that are overlaping.
10) Adhere a single Basic Pearl Jewel for a button and a string of them to make the Necklace.
11) Adhere the Blouse to the Basic Black layer using Stampin' Dimensionals.
12) To make the "2011" you use the Go Go Boots Alphabets Medium Sizzlit Die. Cut 3 pieces of Brushed Gold Card Stock to measure 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". Assemble the Big Shot "Sandwich" ~ first Standard Cutting Pad, Multipurpose Platform (Tab 1), Go Go Boots Alphabets Medium Sizzlit Die with the number 2, 0, 1, 1, Brushed Gold Card Stock and the second Standard Cutting Pad. Run this "Sandwich" through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. Since 2 and 1 are on the same G
o Go Boots Alphabets Medium Sizzlit Die, you would run this one through twice so you could out two 1 and in order to cut out the 0, you will have to run that Go Go Boots Alphabets Medium Sizzlit Die through separately.
13) Punch a Decorative Label from a scrap piece of Bravo Burgandy Card Stock. Adhere the "2011" to the Bravo Burgandy Card Stock using SNAIL Adhesive. Adhere the Decorative Label to the Basic Black Card Stock using Stampin' Dimensionals.
14) Adhere the Cap to the Basic Black Card Stock using Stampin' Dimensionals.
15) Happy Graduation Lauren and all of the other Graduates.
