2 Ways to Protect Cards When You Mail Them?

Do you want to protect your Embellished and "Bumpy" when you mail them? You have put all this time, money and effort into making a Beautiful Card. You don't want them to get ruined in the mail.

Crimper #101618

Two Ways to Protect them:
1) a) Cut a piece of Card Stock to measure the same size as your Card Front. b) Run it slowly through the Crimper #101618. c) Lay the Crimped piece of Card Stock over the front of your Embellished Card and insert both into an Envelope. This will help to protect your Card.

Does Stampin’ Up! Sell Chocolate Chip Embossing Powder?

Uninked Craft Stampin' Pad #122265

Recently I had a customer ask if Stampin' Up! still sells Chocolate Chip Stampin' Emboss Powder. Unfortunetly they don't, but I have a solution. All you need is an Uninked Craft Stampin' Pad #122265, Chocolate Chip Craft Stampin' Ink Refill #102847, Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder #109130, Powder Pals #102197 and a Heat Tool #100005.

1) Ink up the Uninked Craft Stampin' Pad using the Chocolate Chip Craft Stampin' Ink Refill.
2) Stamp the image and hold it over a Powder Pal. Pour the Clear Embossing Powder over the image. The Craft Ink is sticky and the Clear Emboss Powder will stick to it.
3) Tap off the excess Clear Emboss Powder onto the Powder Pal and return it to the jar.
4) Heat set the image using a Heat Tool.
5) The Chocolate Chip color won't be as intense a color as if you used Chocolate Chip Stampin' Emboss Powder, but it will be an Embossed raised image.

I hope this helps.

4 Tips to Use the Paper Doily Large Sizzlet Die #125592

Paper Doily Large Sizzlets Die #125592S

I love the intricate details of Paper Doily Large Sizzlet Die #125592 found on page 7 of the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalogue. It is the perfect size to fill the front of a Card.

You will create the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine "Sandwich" ~ Multipurpose Platform (Tab #2), 1 Standard Cutting Pad, Paper Doily Large Sizzlet Die #125592, the Card Stock or Designer Series Paper, the other Standard Cutting Pad and an extra sheet of Card Stock. The extra sheet of Card Stock acts as a shim to give a little bit more pressure that is needed to cut out the Paper Doily Large Sizzlet Die #125592.

When you run the "Sandwich" through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #113439, go slowly and this will also help to punch it out.

Once you have the Card Stock or Designer Series Paper punched out, roll it in half (without creasing it) back and forth, this will loosen all of the pieces. Some may stick in the design, but all you have to do is poke them out with the Paper-Piercing Tool #116631 or the end of a pencil.

Scrapbooking and Dotto (#103305) Go Hand & Hand ~ Tip of the Week

Have you ever designed a Scrapbook Page in your head and when you tried to put it together, it just didn't look right? OR You adhered a piece of Card Stock onto your Scrapbook Page and decided to move it. You tried to gently pull it up, but you end up ripping the Card Stock ~ then Dotto #103305 is for you.

Dotto #103305
is a roll of Adhesive Dots that are Removable and Repositional. You can simple apply some to your Card Stock or Embellishment and adhere where you think you want it on the Scrapbook Page. If you don't like where you put it, don't worry just pick it up and move it.

Anywhere Glue Sticks (#104045) Tool Tip

2 Pack of Anywhere Glue Stick #104045

The Anywhere Glue Sticks #104045 comes in packs of 2, is very easy-to-use, affordable adhesive that works great when glueing paper to paper. Anywhere Glue Sticks #104045 work best when you generously coat the backs of both pieces of Card Stock so that you are sticking wet-on-wet surfaces together.

Another great use for Anwhere Glue Sticks #104045 is when decorating chipboard with Designer Series Paper. Use the Anywhere Glue Sticks #104045 to thoroughly cover the back of the Designer Series Paper and the surface of the Chipboard Piece. Apply the paper onto the Chipboard Piece, trim excess paper using Paper Snips #103579 and sand down the edges with a Sanding Blocks #103301.

The glue is in a rectangle-shaped tube, simular to a lip stick tube, as you need more glue you simply turn the knob. DO NOT expose too much glue, because it will collect on the sides and you will only waste it. Always clean the excess glue from around the tip before you replace the cap or it may become permanently stuck.

To prevent your glue from drying, store it in a reclosable plastic bag.

Time Saving Tip For Making Cards

I hear a lot from my customers that they don't have a lot of time to make Cards, especially this time of year. I hear you! Why not make several of the same Card at one time?

Once I have created a Card that I am happy with, I make a couple extra of that Card. For example The Open Sea ~ Card of the Week Sample, I made 5 Cards in all.

I made 2 for my brothers that said Happy Birthday, I needed a Masculine Thank You Card for a friend, and 2 that I didn't put a Greeting on it. That way if any Occasion comes up and I need a Card, the entire Card is made except the Greeting. All I have to do is Stamp the appropriate Greeting using Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370 onto Very Vanilla Card Stock #101650, punch it out using the Moderen Label Punch #119849 and adhere it to the Card Front using 2 Stampin' Dimensionals #104430. Voila I am good to go.

This saves you a lot time. You know that there is always a last minute Card that you need. Besides, it doesn't take that much longer to cut the extra supplies you need. Everything is at your finger tips and the stamps are already dirty.

I know that there will be some of you that say "That isn't very personal. I want to make a Special Card for someone". By getting a couple of the Cards that you want to make, out of the way, this will free up valuable time. Now you can relax, take your time and enjoy making that Special Card.
