2) Cut a piece of Bashful Blue Card Stock to measure 3 3/4" x 5".
3) Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock to measure 3 3/4" x 5". Punch the corner of the Whisper White Card Stock by inserting the corner into the Scallop Trim Corner Punch and pressing down. Make sure that the sides of the Whisper White Card Stock line up with the guide on the sides of the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. Repeat this process for the other 3 sides.

5) Punch out 2 Birds out of Whisper White Card Stock using the Two-Step Bird Extra Large Punch.

Ink up the edges of both of the Whisper White Birds and don't forget the wings. TIP: You should press the Sponge Dauber onto a scrap piece of paper to remove the excess ink. The ink will dry over time and harden the sponge tip. You can store the inked up Sponge Dauber in a Zip Lock Bag with the ink's name on it. That way when you want to use it in the future, you don't waste another Sponge Dauber.
7) The Jewels Basic Rhinestones have adhesive on the backs of them; therefore no additional adhesive is required. Use 2 Jewels Basic Rhinestones as eyes for the Birds.
8) Punch out 2 Branches

Happy Valentine’s Day!

1942 Valentine's Day Card

Valentine's Day is all about LOVE and I can't think of 2 people that loved each other more then my Grandparents, Edith and Phillip Jones.

Due to circumstances they couldn't marry until later in life, but they were loved each other very much.

Phil doted on Nanny like she was the Queen of England, who they admired very much.

When Phil passed away and we were cleaning out his Den, we came across an old green tackle box that contained all of the cards that Nanny gave to him. These cards meant everything to him.

As you can see they are preserved perfectly. He kept them all in the original envelopes. Some of the envelopes have the address on them, because Nanny had to mail them to him. She even mailed parcels/cards to him when he was overseas in World War II. Phil kept the Butcher Paper and twine that Nanny sent a book to him when he was overseas.

It is hard to believe that this card is dated 1942. That would make this card 69 years old. It is hard to tell from the photo, but the Heart, Leaves, and the Butterfly have glitter on them.

Phil showed me the true meaning of cards. How they touch people's lives and mean so much to others. Maybe that is were I get my LOVE of cards from. So you could image what it would mean if you made the card yourself.

Hopefully they are together today in Heaven, where every day would be Valentine's Day for those two.

Don't forget to make a Valentine's Day Card for your special someone in your life. It could be your Honey, your kids, a special friend or even your dog. You should do your part the spread the LOVE. You never know, it just may make their day.

If you have any questions or I can do anything for you, just call me at (902) 455-7259 or email me at nancy@nancyfancystamping.com.

Olivia’s Baby Announcement

  Olivia's Handmade Baby Announcement

There is no better joy then when you welcome a baby into your life and Olivia is definitely a great joy to her parents, Trina  and Jason. She is so beautiful and it is hard to believe that she is just a newborn in this photo.

They both have relatives spread all over, so this Baby Announcement Card is the perfect way to share their joy with those relatives and make it seem as if they are here.

I want to thank Trina and Jason for allowing be to feature their beautiful baby, Olivia.

I hope that you will consider giving Baby Announcement Cards as Shower Gift. It is a wonderful way to spread the joy.

Blank Baby Announcement Card Insert

The front of the card is Handmade using Card Stock etc, but I used My Digital Studio to compose all of Olivia's important information for the card insert. For privacy reason's I haven't included a copy of Olivia's information, but I did show you a template that you can change to suit your needs.

I composed the card insert using My Digital Studio's ~ Multiple Output Options. I started with a blank 8 1/2" X 11" project in the portrait orientation. I composed the wording using Arial Font ~ Size 12 and had it aligned in the center. I copied information and paste it 3 more times in the corners of the page. When I was done I was able to cut the sheet of paper in quarters and trim it a little bit, to get the card insert.

The following are the instructions on how to create the outside of Olivia's Baby Announcement Card.
